Light rubbing and abrasions to extremities, green spine labels faded to tan; internally fresh and crisp throughout with no markings "Subscriber's Copy," signed by Sumner. Bookplates of John F. Brooks, presumably unrelated to the Preston Brooks who caned Sumner in the Senate chamber. Crown octavo, 15 vols (complete), half brown calf elaborately gilt spines in 5 compartments with red and green spine labels, marbled paper sides, edges and endpapers.
