Scattered very light foxing, most of text quite bright, elaborately gilt calf spine (worn but not dry) with simulated leather paper-covered boards heavily rubbed (probably a late 19th c. repair). Binding is structurally quite sound. Both are rare books on Napoleonic weapons written during the period. For the Instruction. OCLC lists 5 locations, only one in the US (US Army Military Institute).
